Here she is in "today mode" and just as in High School she is still an "organizer", currently Associate Chair of the Medical Library Association's Centennial Program Committee. Says Joan, "I lived in LA for 10 years - UCLA and job. Then traveled the world with my (now ex) husband while he was in the military. We spent 3 years in Anchorage, Alaska and then we moved to Reno in 1976. Divorced in 1977. Been in Reno ever since and have had one heck of a wonderful time! Great job! Wonderful friends! A full and fun life! (esp in campus politics)."

Joan continues, "I am starting to look very seriously at retirement...don't need to live with the stress much longer. Medical schools have their own brand of stress."

We can only add that given Joan's contributions to life at Menlo-Atherton, with her activities on Senior Board, Junior Red Cross, International Relations Club and the Social Board it is no surprise she continues to be as active as she is. We're excited about Joan being part of the gang again and we're looking forward to seeing her at the October reunion!!
